Corporate Venture Capital als Innovationstreiber?

Der Beitrag fasst die Kernergebnisse einer explorativen Studie des Arbeitskreises „Innovationsfinanzierung & Venture Capital“ der Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft zur Rolle, Ausgestaltung und Wirkung von Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) in Deutschland zusammen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass CVC überwiegend als strategisches Instrument ausgerichtet ist und der Erschließung neuer Technologien sowie Geschäftsfelder dient. Gleichzeitig gibt es Anhaltspunkte, dass strategische Potenziale von CVC in der Breite noch nicht vollständig ausgeschöpft werden.

The paper summarizes the key findings of an exploratory study conducted by the Working Group „Innovationsfinanzierung & Venture Capital“ of the Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft on the role, structure, and impact of corporate venture capital (CVC) in Germany. The findings show that CVC is predominantly oriented as a strategic instrument, serving to access new technologies and business fields. At the same time, there are indications that the strategic potential of CVC has not yet been fully realized across the market.
