Covenants im Firmenkundenkreditgeschäft

Die Anwendung von Covenants kann einen erfolgreichen Ansatz darstellen, um Kreditnehmerrisiken frühzeitig zu erkennen. Die vorliegende Studie untersucht die Relevanz des Einsatzes von Covenants mit den damit verbundenen Risiko-, Ertrags- und Steuerungsaspekten innerhalb der Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Ziel der Studie ist die Beantwortung der Frage, welche Rolle Covenants im Kreditgeschäft der Sparkassen spielen. Hierbei wird ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die aktuelle und zukünftige Bedeutung von Covenants mit ESG-Bezug gelegt.

The use of covenants represents a promising approach to identify borrower risks at an early stage. This study examines the relevance of the usage of covenants with the associated risk, return and management aspects within the Sparkassen Finance Group. In particular, the study aims to investigate the importance of covenants in the lending business of the banks. In this context, special attention is paid to the current and future relevance of ESG related covenants.
